Lettering with imagery... Stand alone quotes and words are great, definitely an exception with memorial pieces, throwing a name or nickname in there or something... But really my goal with imagery, is to capture what it is that you are trying to say with the tattoo, without having to take up extra space with lettering, that could ultimately be used to give you a more detailed and/or free flowing tattoo.
